Frequently Asked Questions for your Pinewood Derby^® order

Approximately how long will it take to receive an order?

Plan on 2 weeks.  That allows 1 week for production and 1 week for shipping.  If you need it sooner, just let us know.

How much engraving can I have on my trophies?

We recommend 3 lines with about 20 characters per line.  That keeps it legible.  We don't count characters, so you can put as much as you want.  For Pinewood Derby^® trophies, a good layout is:

How much does engraving cost for trophies?

The engraving is included with the price of the trophy.

How much does engraving cost for medals?

The engraving cost for medals is 7¢ per character. 

Will I be charged tax? 

It depends on where you are located.  We are located in Texas.  If we ship out of state, there is no tax.  If you are in Texas, we need a Tax Exempt form on file.  We can email you the form.    

How do you ship?

We ship UPS ground.  For APO orders, we ship via US Postal Service. 

How much does shipping cost? 

It depends on what you order and where you are located.  A good estimate is $22-$26 for UPS ground.

What happens if a trophy is damaged in shipment or a word misspelled?

We replace it free of charge and will do everything possible, including Saturday delivery, to have it in your hands by your event date.  There can still be situations where that doesn't work, bad weather, etc. 

What information do you need when I place my order? 

We need a physical shipping address, day time phone number, trophies (part numbers) you want to order and engraving information.  This information can be emailed.  You will need to call with credit card information as email is not a secure connection.  You can always call to discuss your order.  We are happy to answer any questions you may have. 

Can you look up my order from last year?   

Yes, we file Pinewood Derby^® and other BSA^® orders by Pack # and location.  We can easily find your Pack information, even if you were not the individual that actually placed the order.

Are you a licensed BSA^® supplier?

Yes, we have been a licensed BSA^® supplier since 2007, and all of our designs have been approved by BSA^®.   You can verify our license by checking the official website, www.bsalicensing.org.  Vendors are listed in alphabetical order.
